National Account Manager Channels

Remote in, Minnesota, Texas, Washington, Colorado, or Arizona

As our National Account Manager Channels, you will play a vital role in achieving our growth goals by expanding our business into new channels, growing our mission to Kick Sugar, Keep Candy! This role reports to the Sr. Director, Sales US and will be remote preferably located in:  Minnesota, Texas, Washington, Colorado, or Arizona.

How You Will Support Our Mission (Responsibilities):  

  • Lead the management of our channels business across key accounts in the US (Walgreens, CVS, Hudson, and key specialty retailers like Nordstrom Rack).
  • Identify and lead opportunities for channel expansion (Food Service, Convenience, etc.)
  • Ensure sales plans are achieved, goals are exceeded, and partnership plans are in place that align with the overall strategic plan.
  • Leverage customer SPINs and portal data to support a fact-based selling approach; focus on understanding key volume drivers, program ROIs, and building a plan that will achieve the financial goals of both SmartSweets and our retail partners.
  • Complete all monthly forecasting and trade reviews with a clear understanding of drivers.
  • Meet (& exceed) targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Effectively manage customer budgets and promotional plans.

What You Bring (Qualifications & Experience):  
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience in the CPG industry
  • Experience selling direct into retailers and through distributors
  • Experience with Nielsen and/or IRI data
  • Experience using trade & forecasting software
  • Experience managing distributor relationships is an asset
  • Experience in Natural Health Food Brands is an asset
  • A self-motivated, highly organized, and achievement-oriented attitude
  • An ability to quickly assess the needs of the business, develop an action plan and execute
  • A customer-focused, proactive, and team-oriented approach
  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
