Order Management Support Consultant (6 Month Contract)

We are seeking a detail oriented & cross functional Order Management Support Consultant to support the Order Management team by ensuring the right product goes to the right customer at the right time. You will collaborate across several departments to support the development of new inventory tools as well as new order management processes. This is a temporary, part-time consultant role at 20-30 hours per week, primary days ideally Monday through Wednesday. This is a 6-month contract expected to run from September 2026 to February 2027.

The position is remote and based in BC (Pacific Time), reporting to the Manager, Order Management. Must be eligible to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.

How You Will Support Our Mission (Responsibilities):  
  • Allocate available inventory to customers based on business priorities, service level requirements, and supply constraints.
  • Partner with Sales, Demand Planning, Customer Service, and Supply Planning teams to ensure accurate and timely product fulfillment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and customer demand to proactively identify potential supply risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor and track shipments, ensuring they are delivered on time and in full (OTIF). 
  • Manage customer orders from receipt through fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
  • Analyze inventory and order trends to support decision-making and improve customer service performance.
  • Communicate allocation decisions, inventory availability, and order status updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the resolution of order discrepancies, fulfillment issues, and customer service concerns.
  • Review and manage inventory levels, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and minimizing stockouts or overstock situations. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes and customer satisfaction. 
What You Bring (Qualifications & Experience):  
  • Minimum of 5+ years of combined experience in Supply Chain analysis, Logistics, Inventory Management, and Order Management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, PMP, CSCP) are a plus.
  • Previous experience in CPG/Food/Textiles required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain concepts, inventory management, logistics, and procurement processes.
  • Demonstrated experience balancing customer, sales, and supply chain priorities to facilitate data-driven decisions and achieve business objectives.
  • Understanding of transportation modes, inventory management, and distribution strategies. 
  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, XLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain Management software (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP systems). Netsuite & SPS experience an asset. 
  • Experience with advanced analytics or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams from Senior Management to Coordinators.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Compensation and Sweet Perks (Benefits): 
The approximate base salary range for this position is $30.00/per hour - $40.00/hour. The actual base salary will be based on various factors, including the candidate’s level of skills, experience and education aligned with the needs of the role, budget and market.
